That was my feeling when I decided to re-read Swann's Way: Upon the release of this first volume of the RechercheMarcel Proust lerdido commanded for his wonderful effort - I should say accomplishment, really - but his work was questioned for having no structure at all.
On the other hand, the language used is in many instances straight from Proust, and is too sophisticated for a child.
